LOST SIGNALS

Radio Frequency interference is a common problem with wireless controllers. There are many sources of RF in households including cordless phones, cell phones, wireless speakers, the PS3, other controllers and routers to mention a few.  Each of these devices can and do cause interference to other devices and especially to game controllers.  Gamers are sensitive to any hesitation, loss of signal or signal skip and can detect the smallest hesitation in game controllers.  Interference can be noticed when your controller cuts out, restarts or stutters.

Solutions To Lost Signals:

Turn off any other controllers that are not in use.  These can tax the bandwidth and cause lost signals.

Turn off vibration features in the PS3 when only using the FRAGnStein.  As the FRAGnStein does not have vibration functions it will increase the response time of the FRAGnStein.

Turn off PSP wireless features on the PS3.  This taxes the available bandwidth and can cause FRAGnStein hesitation.

In very high RF areas use a USB extension cable.  Plug the USB cable into your PS3 and then plug the dongle into the other end of the USB cable.  This moves the dongle away from your PS3 and results in less frequency hopping.

The Firmware versions after 1.6 include an advanced RF button.  Use this feature to select between 5 different RF ranges.

The Default RF selection will reset the factory settings. Use the default settings if your controller does not stutter.

After using the RF feature you will need to rematch your mouse, left grip and dongle.
